Late 18th century massive brass Sabbath candlesticks. Footed base with trefoil motif and banding, with bladed knops and ample bobeche. Hand turned screws for disassembly. For the Jews located in the large swath of territory known as the “Pale of the Settlement”, candlesticks such as these were heirlooms, passed down from mother to daughter or daughter-in-law.
