A silver Mezuzah cover, silver engraving work,and velvet with the Hebrew G-d's name- Shadai at the top, followed by the name of the mistress of the house “Rovida Sayag”. Decorations of professional cutting and engraving work in a floral pattern. The magnificent cover is made entirely of silver, and seems to have belonged to a wealthy family. “Gita Del Mezuzah” – a magnificent cover which Moroccan Jewry customarily used to cover the Mezuzuah at the entrance to the house. One of the most important ritual items in Moroccan Jewish homes. According to the custom, the woman would bring it to her home after the wedding ceremony, and her name appeared on the cover.
