Painted earthenware figure group of three Jews in overcoats and skullcaps, sitting close together on a bench. Their detailed faces have stereotypical Jewish features, such as side locks and large, protruding noses. Bearing German inscription on the base, translate to: "Reichenhaller ideal".
Unlike portrayals of “three older Jewish men on a bench”, this terracotta figure has a special compartment for letters/bills on the back.
Made in Bohemia, circa 1880, marked on the bottom.
