Rare and Important Shabbat candelabrum, Brass, Poland, circa 1750. On the shaft there is a Hebrew inscription cast in relief, which translate as "The Jews enjoyed light "[and happiness, gladness and honor]" (Esther 8:16). An important theme in Judaism, the idea of the light is associated not only with God's wisdom but also with the sagacity of the Torah.
