Late 19th Century Austrian Silver Kiddush Goblet with Saucer
Silver Kiddush goblet with saucer, Austria, circa 1880. The goblet is engraved with two scenes, one with the Western Wall in Jerusalem and the other scene with the view of the Dome of the Rock. The saucer is hand decorated with an engraved panoramic scene of the Western Wall. Marked with Austrian silver hallmarks.
Kiddush cup is a ceremonial vessel to hold wine for the blessing said at Shabbat and Jewish holidays meals.
