Early 19th century Russian/ Polish brass Sabbath candlesticks.

Base with trefoil motif and banding, with bladed knops and ample bobeche. Hand turned screws for disassembly. Used by Jews located in the large swath of territory known as the “Pale of the Settlement”, candlesticks such as these were heirlooms, passed down from mother to daughter or daughter-in-law.
