Antique Damascus-work silver, copper, and gold inlaid vase, Damascus, Syria, circa 1880. Pear-form with trumpet-form spout, decorated with beautiful silver and copper decoration known as damascened or Damascus work, and with four small oval plaques inlaid with Hebrew inscription: "Wealth will not help past"
